While visiting in Overton recently I learned of the passing of a memorable childhood friend from Overton Elementary School. Shirley had a good natured twinkle in her eyes, and was always kind and loads of fun. We enjoyed trading sandwiches from our lunches brought from home. For several years I’ve inquired about her, unable to locate her, and was saddened to realize I would never get to renew our friendship. My loving condolences to her family and friends.
