Dear Marci, Ray and family, I was saddened by the news about your mom. Our mothers were so close and we've heard so much about the fun times they had together. I feel as though I've known her all of my life! You are all in our hearts and prayers as you say good bye to someone who is so dear to you and to all of us. Your cousin Nancy (Evans) Holka

It has always been something of a wonder to me, that I could feel such a deep and close bond to Aunt Dorothy, but without fail, each time we would get to see her again the connection would carry on as if we'd only been apart a day or two, when in actuality it was more like 3, 4, 5 years. She was (and still is) so encouraging and uplifting to be with and she radiated a quiet strength that made you feel like you could accomplish anything if she said you could. She loved singing with her family and often remarked how wonderfully blessed our family was in this area, and her love and pride for her family was quietly but distinctly evident whenever she would look out upon her extended family when she returned for reunions. The fervent prayers of a righteous person accomplishes much God's word tells, and I know our family is so much better; so much richer; so much more blessed because of the prayers of this deeply devoted child of the Living God. We love her, we miss her, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she now resides in the presence of our Lord and Savior. There is little doubt that she has heard from the one she has served so faithfully. Well done thou good and faithful servant. As always, in love and prayer, Randy and Pat

Dear Marci, Ray and Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you experience this loss of you mother. Aunt Dorothy was a wonderful Christian woman. She always called my dad when he was ill and prayed for him as she did for all her brothers and sisters. I have very fond memories of her visits to Illinois. She will be dearly missed here but we know she is at peace. Love and prayers Debbie & family.

Aunt Dorothy is beautiful. She looks like she is taking a peaceful nap, which I know she really is! To Marci, Clay and Tammy and the rest of the family, I wish I could be there to share her memory and tears, both happy and sad. I love you all. Gwen

Being close family,we share the sorrow and pray daily for God to comfort you, Marci & Ray and your family there. We will miss Dorothy's calls to check on Dale's health. We know she prayed daily for him,as we did for her. God is good and she will be at peace and rest with Him now. She was a very caring sister for the whole family and she will still be watching over us. Our loss is heaven's gain. PTL We will be ordering Gideon Bibles to be distributed in her name.
