Sorry to just now hear about Miss Evelyn's passing. She and my Granny, Delight Hamilton, worked at the telephone office in Overton as Operators many years ago. I am Delight and Russell Hamilton's son Don and Inez Hamilton's son. I loved Evelyn...she was a sweet lady. Granny talked about their time as Operators often before she passed October 30, 2012 at age 95 from Progressive Dementia/Alzheimer's. RIP Miss Evelyn

Hi, Lisa. I'm so sorry about your Mom! But she is at peace now and maybe she and Dot Lamb are playing Skip-Bo in Heaven!! I just got back from Ca. My youngest daughter Shari has Pancreatic cancer with complications and does not have to much time left on Earth, But she will be in Heaven very soon and will have complete peace with Jesus!! My heart goes out to the family. I know what you all have been through the last year or so. Pearl was a special lady and a special friend to me. She will be missed by many. She had such a great personality and I enjoyed working with her many years ago. She always had the ability to make me laugh when I was feeling down. My sincere sympathies to the family. Love you and appreciate what y'all have done for me during the loss of my husband and mother this past year and hope I can be there for you.
