Obituary of Virgil Eugene Minor IV

   Funeral services for Virgil Eugene Minor IV, 41, currently of Dallas, will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 28 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Atwell Hankins officiating. Burial will follow in Overton City Cemetery.

   Mr. Minor passed away Monday, July 23, 2018. He was born January 20, 1977 in Sharpstown, a suburb of Houston, to Virgil E. Minor III and Vickie Perkins. Virgil graduated from Overton High School in 1995. He then went to TSTC in Marshall for his associates degree and studied at the University of Phoenix for his Business Administrative Masters degree. Virgil spent time in South Carolina and New Jersey and then came back to Texas working for some time in College Station before settling in Dallas. He enjoyed golf, archery and any form of hunting. Virgil was an entrepreneur and had just developed a product to reduce the cost of corn for hunters.

   Mr. Minor is survived by his father,Virgil E. Minor III of Overton and his mother and stepfather, Vickie and Arthur Perkins of San Jose, California; his two sons, Tristin Minor and Ayden Minor; his fiance', Amanda Ashworth of Dallas; his sister Michelle Maddon of Lathrop, California; three stepbrothers, Josh Perkins, Jeremy Perkins and Jonathan Perkins, all of San Jose, California; one nephew, Decklen Aceituno of Lathrop; and two nieces, Mikayla Maddon and Sophia Maddon both of Lathrop.

   Pallbearers will be Keith Ceabolt, Brian Fleming, Will Pahlman, Jason Worley, Matt Houser, Branden Stuart, Kelly Stanley and Kenneth Brackeen.
