I don't know how to even begin. My heart is entirely hurt right now so my words might come out wrong. For that apologize. I just miss him so much. He was another older brother I looked up to. Raised his son so well. Raised me too. We'd always kick it when in town. I'm so hurt for me and my family. Seeing his photos break me down. I just cry. I love n miss him so much. I just don't know what to say. Love to everyone.

We will always remember Virgil with his outgoing personality and wonderful wit he had about him. He always went out of his way to help us and it was an extreme joy to be around him and there was always laughter whereever he was. May our God help each of you during this difficult time and to be your comforter in grieving times.

Uncomfortably Numb. It is really the only way I can describe how I am feeling at the News of your passing. I had you for one year, as my best friend in our Sophmore year of High School. Tejas was legendary! I was your Quarterback and your were my Tight End. We did everything together for that one year and then you returned back to your beloved Overton. You have my Gremlins Lunch Box (It was a Big Deal to Me!) and I hope one of your sons has it. We always stayed in touch. We would lose track from time to time, but we always found our way back to connecting. I am mad/sad that I am writing something like this about you and/or memories I had with you. I was planning on meeting your family soon and enjoyed our conversation just a few weeks ago about your son and your new wife. I love you Virgil, you were a friend to me when I needed it most when we were in High School. I will miss you deeply and always wish that I had more time with you here. Every time I hear the song, "Say Hello to Heaven," you will be on my heart. I promise to be there for your son and make sure that your wife has support from Uncle Nate. I am going to miss you my man, and just wish that I could call you or talk to you one last time and let you know that I love you!

When Virgil was young, he was a constant visitor at our home. We loved him and always was happy to see him come and play. He was then and through out his growing up, been a good friend to both of our children. Our family will miss him and always remember him with a smile.
Our deepest sympathy to his friends and family.

Buster and Vicky ... Our family was so sorry to hear about Virgil's death. Our prayers go out to you at this time. We will be out of state but we wanted you to know how much we care. Can still remember so well the little boy in diapers who would come across the street and climb into the back of our car to go to baseball practice with Greg.
Love to all
