Obituary of Darlene G. Harman

Darlene G. Harman of Overton, Texas passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 in a hospice facility in Tyler, Texas following a lengthy illness. Darlene was born on December 16, 1938 in Overton, Texas to the late Forest H. and Evelyn Alexander Gaut.  She was a 1957 graduate of New London High School and attended Kilgore College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Overton, and she served as the office Clerk for SESCO, currently TXU, at the Overton office for many years. 

Besides her parents, Mrs. Harman was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John David Harman on September 20, 2011. 

Darlene was known for her bubbly personality, her BIG heart and her genuine love for everyone she met. 

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Cheryl Harman of New London; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Bryan Savoy of Wentzville, Missouri, and Connie and Tommy Wade of Tyler. She had five grandchildren, Brennan Gounah, Sean Harman, Christopher Harman, Skyler Savoy, and Ashlyn Savoy and five  great grandchildren, Cambria and Coulson Harman, Emberlie and Avalie Harman, and Hazel Grace Gounah.

A celebration of Darlene’s life will be announced and held at a later date.
