Obituary of Edward Owen Coggeshall

Graveside services for Edward Owen Coggeshall 86, of Tyler, will be held 10 am Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with Pastor Robert Stovall officiating with interment to be at the Cathedral in The Pines Cemetery 7825 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75703. Under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Edward passed away on November 24, 2017. He was born May 17, 1931 in Quincy, Massachusetts to Edward Owen Coggeshall, Sr. and Ethel Borden Coggeshall. Edward was enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1949 and served 21 years, retiring at the rank of SR. Master Sargent. He loved serving his country. His family was very important to him. Edward was a loving husband, father, and pawpaw. He was a life member of the VFW and held several positions with the VVA. He was also a volunteer for Hospice of East Texas and was very active in their church.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Peggy Wallace Coggeshall, and parents Edward and Ethel Coggeshall.

Survivors include his sons; Harry H. Truelove of Tyler, Richard A. & wife Angelia Coggeshall of Lindale, Thomas E. & wife Judy Coggeshall of Mesquite, daughters; Deborah A. and husband Glenn R. Mason of Overton, Donna J. Foster of Dallas, grandchildren; Jeffrey Mason Jeremiah Mason, Amanda Burnett, Holly Bennett, Heather Evans, Thomas E. Coggeshall Jr., Whitney Herrera, Ryan Knowles, and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup 5-7 pm on Monday, November 27, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Heart to Heart Hospice 7925 S Broadway Ave #1140, Tyler, TX 75703
