James was my training officer along with Truett Ellis when I went to work in 1977. James was always helpful in whatever I did. I can remember many of the Tyler Fire awards banquets when James would show up. He always would look and me, shake his head, and say "My boys."
I will always cherish James as a caring firefighter.
