Obituary of Jerry Faye Skillern Fuller

         Funeral services for Jerry Faye Skillern Fuller, 82, of Tyler, will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup. Reverend Matt Stone will be officiating the service with interment following at Pinecrest Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

         Jerry passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Tyler. She was born August 18, 1934 in New Summerfield to Carl Benjamin Skillern and Jeffie Martin Skillern. Jerry worked at Trinity Mother Frances hospital for more than twenty years. She loved to study her family genealogy and was a Daughter of the Republic of Texas. Jerry loved her dog Sassie very much. She learned to swim and kayak in her 70s and loved doing yardwork and travelling. Jerry never slowed down in life and in her strong will, did not stop till the very end.

         She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Nada Jean Skillern Smith and Sue Skillern Adams and a brother, Carl Skillern, Jr.

         Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Hamman & husband Stuart of Van and Linda Bracey & husband Scott of China Springs; brother Mike Skillern & wife Nancy of Troup; four grandchildren, Jennifer Gaston & husband Jesse, Greg Bracey & wife Amanda, Brandon Hooten, and Christopher Hamman; three great grandchildren, Emma Bracey, Molly Gaston, and Mason Gaston.

         Pallbearers will be Ricky Adams, Steven Adams, David Smith, Don Smith, Billy Skillern, and Clint Skillern.

         The family will receive friends and loved ones Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4-6pm at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup.
