I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I used to work with Bill and I just thought he was the happiest man around. I don't remember a time where he was ever negative about anything. When I heard of his death I was immediately saddened. The world lost a great man that day.
I pray you may find comfort in this time of need.

I was shocked when I read that Bill had passed away. I worked with him at Southside Bank at both Troup Hwy and Rice Road and before that at the Walmart on Troup Hwy and he was one of the funniest people I knew and it was a pleasure to work with him. I have so many funny stories I could tell and we spent a lot of time together. Those stories all came back to me this week and they were so bittersweet. I remember when he married Aida, and also when Katherine was born.
I know he was an exceptional public servant for the people of Troup because I know his character and his heart. Like him, I eventually ended up in a municipality and thought the similarities remarkable. I watched his career grow starting with Kilgore National Bank and secretly gave him hi fives, but was not surprised a bit by his success. I mean...I knew he would!
He loved the City of Troup, God, and his family immensely. Aida, Katherine, and Tiffany you were his world. I'm just glad I got to know him for a little while.

I am so sorry for your loss. A man of the incredible caliber of Billy does not come into our lives very often and I was blessed to have known him. He made everyone he came into contact with want to be both a better person and stronger Christian.
Thanks Billy!
