Obituary of Marjorie Phillips
Funeral services for Marjorie Lee Phillips, 76, Overton, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24 at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Brother Johnny Dowell officiating. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips died Friday, January 19, 2007 in Overton. She was born July 17, 1930, in Weatherford, to the late Brutus Lee and Clora Barber Young, She graduated from Odessa High School and lived most all her life in California.
She was a homemaker and received a associates degree from the College of Siskiyous in Weed, California. She has been a resident of Overton since 1999 and was a Baptist.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Robinson, a son-in-law, Roger Tricker and grandson, Matthew Tricker.
She is survived by her husband, Lacy J. Phillips, Jr.,Overton; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny L. and Pat Browning of Yucca Valley, California; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia Tricker of Santa Maria, California, and Janet and Scott Sellars of Dorris, California; a brother and sister-in-law, B. L. and Ruth Young of Midland; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred Ann and Henry Schulman of Edison, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, at the funeral home.
