Obituary of Willa Goss
Graveside Services for Willa 'Moma Bill' Goss, 89, Kilgore, are scheduled for 4:00 pm, Tuesday, January 9, at the Davis Cemetery, near Henderson, with the Reverends Freeman Pierce and Melton Gardner officiating, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mrs. Goss died Sunday, January 7, in a New London nursing home. She was born November 12, 1917, in Rusk County to the late Thomas and Myrtle Mae Mills Jordan. She had been a resident of Kilgore for the past 20 years.
She was a housewife and was a charter member of the Victory Road Missionary Baptist Church, Kilgore.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Reagan Clifford Goss, July 12, 1999; a son, Glendale Goss; a daughter, Nelda June Goss; three brothers, Olen Jordan, Virgil Jordan, and Cecil Jordan; and a son-in-law, William 'Bud' Harris.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Goss, Bruce Goss and Rodger Goss, all of Kilgore; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lanell and Robert Smithey, Nacogdoches, Beverly Harris, Kilgore and Joyce and Ivan Durham, Troup; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Monday, January 8.
