Obituary of Ovel Cloke
Services for Ovel Horton Cloke, 80, Arp, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 9, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend A.J. Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.
Mrs. Cloke died Friday, January 5, in a Tyler hospital. She was born August 31, 1926, in Arp, to the late H.D. and Goldie Carpenter Horton. She was a lifetime resident of Arp. Mrs. Cloke was a housewife and was a member of the Bascom Assembly of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Ray Cloke; two brothers, Doyle Horton and Clyde Horton; and two sisters, Pearl Horton and Faye Hanson.
Mrs. Cloke married Raymond Cloke in Belton, August 12, 1943.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Raymond Cloke, Arp; a son, Philip Cloke, Arp; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joe Daily, Arp; a sister, Helen Carpenter, Arp; seven grandchildren, Connie Brown, Vicky Calicutt, Tracy Daily, Ronnie Daily, Dena Smith, Rhonda Krisle, and RaeJean Dewitt; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Daily, Ronnie Daily, Aaron Carpenter, Sam Carpenter, Mike Boone, and Eddie Horton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, January 8.
