Obituary of D. Pharm Willis

Services for Park Willis, D. Pharm, 90, Overton, will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 6, in the Overton Church of Christ with Darryl Willis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Overton under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home.   Mr. Willis died Monday, November 1, 2010 in Ennis. He was born November 12, 1919 in Williamson County, Tennessee to the late Thomas Edwin and Ada Coker Willis. He served the Army Air Corps in WWII and he served in the US Army in the Korean War. He graduated from Victory High School, Altus, Oklahoma and attended Southwestern College of Pharmacy in Oklahoma in 1953 where he received his degree. He retired from retail Pharmacy after 50 years and he was a member of the Overton Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Willis, Glenn Willis, and Jess Willis and three sisters, Tommie Griffis, Corrin Hunt, and Dorothy Podmajersky. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cebela Johnson Willis. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sue Willis of Hondo, Clay and Janice Willis of Overton, and Darryl and Terri Willis of Ennis; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members, church family, and friends. Pallbearers will be, Billy Willis, J C Johnson, Gil Volmering, Sr., Gene Robinson, and Garry Volmering. Honorary pallbearer will be Frank Lamourt and Jason Hightower. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, November 5.
