Obituary of Raymond Cloke

Funeral services for Raymond W. Cloke, 91, Arp, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with the Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery near Chapel Hill. Mr. Cloke died Saturday, July 24, 2010, in a Tyler hospice facility. He was born March 3, 1919, in Eldon, Iowa to the late Frank and Ruie Snooks Cloke. He was a veteran of the US Army and married Ovel Horton August 12, 1943, in Belton. He moved to Arp in 1946 and retired from the Brookshires Warehouse, Tyler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Ray Cloke and his wife of 63 years, Ovel Cloke, on January 5, 2007. Survivors include a son, Philip Cloke, Arp; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joe Daily, Arp; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Connie and Vernon Brown, Vicky and Johnny Calicutt, Tracy and Sherry Daily, Ronnie and Debra Daily, Dena and Dalton Smith, Rhonda Krisle, and Rae Jean and Hank Griffin; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tracy Daily, Ronnie Daily, Jacob Daily, Hank Griffin, Colton Smith and Aaron Carpenter. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, July 26.
