Obituary of Juanita Johnson

 Graveside services for Juanita "Neta" Johnson, 98, a longtime resident of both Arp and Overton are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 16, at the Overton City Cemetery with the Reverend Tommy Harden officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.  Mrs. Johnson passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, in Arlington where she had lived for the past several years. She was born March 3, 1912, in Kinta, Oklahoma to the late C.M. and Roberta Dunavant Hodges and moved with her family to Arp in 1931. In addition to her parents, Neta was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson, five brothers, Clifton, Everett, Gus, Wilson and Glen and six sisters, Tess, Lorene, Lou, Lala, Elon and Millie. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda and son-in-law Ray Wood of Arlington, her granddaughter, Amber Wood of Dallas, her grandson Jeff Wood, his wife Cathy and her great grandchildren, Katie and Brandt of Dallas. Neta is also survived by her brother Jimmy Hodges of Rockdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
