Obituary of William E. Schulman
Services for William E. 'Bill' Schulman, 85, Kilgore, formerly of Lake Tyler East are scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 11, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with the Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Danville Cemetery, Kilgore.
Mr. Schulman died Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Longview. He was born May 7, 1925, in Houston to the late Nathan and Evelyn Forester Schulman. He was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School in Houston and was a longtime employee of FMC in Houston and Stephenville.
He was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II.Mr. Schulman was a resident of Lake Tyler East for 16 years prior to moving to Kilgore in 2004.He was a longtime member of the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Schulman married Wanda Mae Hill Schulman, November 6, 1946. She preceded him in death March 23, 2005.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Boyd Allee, Kilgore, a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Heather and David Hoschek, Round Rock; great-granddaughter, Viviane Leigh Hoschek, Round Rock; brother-in-law, J.D. Hill, Gladewater; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Laverne and Talmadge Mercer and Betty and Don Bonds, all of Kilgore; special daughters, Randi Clower, Huntsville and Donna Woods, Vivian, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Jimmy Woods, Dave Hoschek, Jeffrey Mercer, James Mercer, Morris Hollowell, Jim McWilliams, Josh Burton and Clay Burton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm, Monday, May 10.
