Obituary of Norma Jean Womack Kirk

Services for Norma Jean Womack Kirk, 72, Troup, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesay, May 4, at the Cottle Funeral Home Chapel, Troup with the Reverend Bennie Portwood officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery, Troup. Mrs. Kirk died Friday, April 30, in Tyler. She was born January 20, 1938, in the Salem Community of Smith County, to the late Bert Y. and Addie Lee Kizer Womack. She was a 1956 graduate of Troup High School and attended Tyler Commercial College. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mrs. Kirk married Jerry Kirk in Troup, July 14, 1957. Survivors include her husband Jerry Kirk, Troup; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Tammy Kirk, Van Alstyne; grandchildren, Kaitlin Kirk, Joshua Kirk, Claire Kirk and Noah Kirk. Pallbearers will be Robert Swinney, Tommy McGreogor, Jerry Lacy, Claud Obar, Pete Ledford, and Cecil Martin. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, May 3.
