Obituary of Frances Woodward

Graveside services for Frances Woodward, 83, Troup, are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 4 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo with the Pastor Roy Ramon officiating under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mrs. Woodward died Friday, April 30, 2010 in Tyler. She was born June 12, 1926, in Capulin, New Mexico to the late Francis M. And Nora B. Patrick Chapman. She was a longtime resident of San Angelo and moved to Troup in 2006. Mrs. Woodward was a former member of the Beacon Missionary Baptist Church, San Angelo and was currently a member of the Arp First Baptist Church. She married Willard William Wooward November 10, 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Terese Woodward, Katy, Garry L. and Mary Lankford, New Chapel Hill, Eldon and Kim Woodward, San Angelo and Ray and Carlene Lankford, Corpus Christi; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Pat and Leon Smith, Troup, Karyon and Bill Clark, La Donna Phillips, Creta Phillips, and Glenda and Malcolm King all of San Angelo; two sisters, Cora Bell Chapman and Dorothy Puryear both of Modesto, California; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The Family will receive friends at the Cottle Funeral Home, Troup from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday, May 2. The Family will also receive friends at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo from 10:00 am until service time Tuesday, May 4.
