Obituary of Melissa Kay Helsel Williams

Graveside services for Melissa Kay Helsel Williams, 24, New London, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 28 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near New London with the Reverend Tony Lewis officiating under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mrs. Williams died Monday, April 26, 2010. She was born June 20, 1985, in Longview to Gary Wayne Helsel and Vicki Elaine Smires Helsel. She attended West Rusk High School. She worked for the Henderson and Kilgore Game Room and was a member of the New Life Tabernacle.  Mrs. Williams was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and wife. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis Helsel, Joan Helsel, Cecil Smires, and grandmother-in-law, Aline Adams. Survivors include her husband, Dustin Dewayne Williams, New London; parents, Gary and Vicki Helsel, New London; brother, Bo Helsel, New London; grandmother, Berta Smires, New London; step grandmother, Bernice Helsel, Kalkaska, Michigan; father-in-law, Mark Williams, Kilgore; mother-in-law, Patricia Whitehead, Minden, Tx; aunts and uncles, Stanley and Tracey Helsel, Kalkaska, Michigan, Jim and Cheryl Helsel, Houston, Larry and Barbara Smires and Jerry and Shirley Smires, all of New London, Dennis Beaver, Kenneth and Georgia Beaver, and Mike Beaver all of Kalkaska, Michigan; several cousins and many friends; and her dogs Max and Baby Spike. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 27.
