Obituary of James McCarty

Funeral services for James Lewis McCarty, Sr., 47, Overton, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home. Mr. McCarty died Friday, April 23, 2010 in a Overton nursing home. He was born August 20, 1962 in Overton to the late Gordon Martin McCarty, Sr. and Melba Lois Goodson McCarty. He lived most all his life in Overton and touched many lives with the little dogs he made from yarn. He was a Christian and a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Lewis McCarty, Jr. and Natalia of Tyler; a brother, Gordon M. McCarty, Jr., Arp; sisters, Ramelle Searcy, New London, Vicky Ernsbarger, Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Elaine Torrance, Denton; and a granddaughter, Nikoda McCarty.
