Obituary of Douglas Mullican
Funeral services for Douglas A. McMullican, 83, Arp, will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, at the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick officiating.
Burial will be in the Mason Cemetery, Arp.
Mr. Mullican died Sunday, August 27, 2006 in Tyler, He was born June 18, 1923 in Arp to the late R.V. and Viola Allen Mullican. He graduated from Arp High School and served during W.W.II in US Army. He married Lottie Freeman August 20, 1948 in Wills Point and was a quality control inspector for Baker Tank and General Dynamics Corporation. He was a member of the Canton Masonic Lodge # 98 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon.
Survivors included his wife of 58 years, Lottie Mullican, Arp; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary June and Billy Wayne Allen, Arp; three grandchildren, Jason Allen, Arp, Rheuben Bundy and Lillian Garcia, both of Tyler; three great grandchildren, Jake Allen, Jackson Allen, and Isabel Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Joe Kitchens, John Lanham, Mike Allen, Norman Powel, Carl Sieber, and Lynnie Callicutt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rheuben Bundy, Oren Golden, Roy Soap, Robert Lacy, T.W. Swinney, and Eric Allen.
