Obituary of Raymond Masten

Funeral services for Raymond L. Masten, 70, Overton will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton with Paul Witt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 22, in the Meridian Cemetery, Meridian, Texas. Mr. Masten died Friday, March 19, 2010 in a hospice facility in Longview. He was born December 28, 1939 in Meridian to the late Guy and Annie Mae Masten. He worked as assistant manager for several grocery stores and moved to Overton in 1994 from Ft. Worth. He was a member of the Overton Church of Christ where he was song leader. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Masten, Overton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Danny Masten and Larry and K Masten all of Ft. Worth; two brothers, Marvin Masten and Kenneth Masten both of Ft. Worth; a sister, Jimmie Lois Yarbrough, Houston; and two great grandchildren.
