Obituary of Beatrice Braswell

Services for Beatrice Clara Braswell are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, March 22, in the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup, with Reverend Stevie Oaks officiating. Burial will be in the Mixon Cemetery near Troup. Mrs. Braswell died Friday, March 19, 2010 in a Tyler hospice. She was born January 25, 1922 in Corsicana to the late Marion Thomas and Clara Beatrice Hunt Sullivan. She married Alton Braswell July 18, 1939 in Henderson and he preceded her in death in 1990. She had lived in the Mixon area for 60 years. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Jimmy Braswell and David Braswell and two grandsons. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Nancy Braswell, Troup; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lenita and John England, Mixon and Viola Warren, Mt. Home, Arkansas; two sisters, Mary Ellen Long, Henderson and Jean Hughes, Nacogdoches; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends immediately after the funeral service.
