Obituary of Mary Webster
Services for Mary N. Webster, 86, Overton, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, March 19, at the Turnertown Baptist Church with the Reverend James Palmer and grandsons Jason Moore and John Glover officiating. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mrs. Webster died Monday, March 16, 2010, in a Tyler hospital. She was born August 26, 1923, in Joinerville to the late Henry Lewis Gill and Julia Maud Dunklin Gill. She had been a lifetime resident of East Texas.
She was a seamstress who had worked for R.L. Davis, Overton. She was a member of the Turnertown Baptist Church where she was a Prayer Warrior.
Mrs. Webster was devoted to loving and caring for others. She was a good, caring, and loving Mother and a wonderful Grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Zimmerman and in 1967, by her husband, Cecil Webster.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Kenneth Wright, Kilgore, Sharon and Roger Moore, Overton and Linda and Robert Sedgwick, Palestine; brothers, Henry Gill, New London, Roy Gill, Longview, Washington, Oran Lee Gill, Bossier City, Louisiana, and Marlin Dunklin, Midlothian; sister, Juliette Salyer, New London; grandchildren, Cecil Wright, Terry Gounah, Cindy Carpenter, Mary Kay Wright, Kevin Moore, Jason Moore, Jeffery Moore, John Glover, and Melinda Luis; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Jason Moore, Jeffery Moore, Kevin Moore, Cecil Wright, Blaine Weiterman, John Glover, and Jason Luis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 18.
