Obituary of Freda Shaw

Services for Freda Shaw, 81, Troup, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 30, at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup, with the Reverend Mike Cline officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup. Mrs. Shaw died Friday, July 28, in Tyler. She was born September 9, 1924, in Whitewright to the late Robert and Mattie Mae Miller Wells. She was a former resident of Tyler and had been a resident of Troup for the past 8 years. She was a housewife and assisted her husband in his business. She was a also a volunteer with AARP. Mrs. Shaw was a Presbyterian. Survivors include her husband, Lewis Shaw, Troup; a son, Robert Pool, Liberty City; a sister, Bobbie Moffat, Hot Springs, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Kathy Eades, Liberty City, Cindy Webb, Nacogdoches, and Carie Roy, Denton; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be George McDonald, Bill Calley, Richard 'Bubba' Thompson, Wayne Campbell, Bobby LaMotte and David LaMotte. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, July 29.
