Obituary of Troy Parrish

Services for Troy Parrish, 31, Overton, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, January 11 at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton, with Reverend Ronnie Shipman officiating. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery. Mr. Parrish died Friday, January 8, 2010 in a Tyler hospital. He was born July 17, 1978 in Longview. He was a 1997 graduate of Overton High school and had been employed for the past three years by Express Energy Services, Kilgore. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Ray Parrish, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Emily Parrish, Overton, mother, Carmen Brinkoetter, Arp; brother, Gary Ray Parrish, Jr., Commerce; and sister, Adrian Luna, Laredo. Pallbearers will be Mark Phillips, Gary Parrish, Brad Curry, Joey Stewart, Luther Bender, and Howard Fitch. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Davis, Lawrence Adams, Larry Adams, Brandon Nono, Dave Willis, Chris Robertson, and Gary Luna. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Troy Parrish Athletic Scholarship Fund at Overton High School. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, January 10.
