Obituary of Lucille Box
Services for Lucille Lacy Box, 87, New London, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 27, at the London Baptist Church with the Reverends Mike Jeter and Bob Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Mason Cemetery, Arp.
Mrs. Box went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 24. She was born to the late Curtis and Beulah Ragsdale Lacy, July 10, 1918. She was a lifetime resident of Smith and Rusk Counties.
She had been a member of the London Baptist Church since 1944 where she worked in the children's department for 10 years and was an associational representative for 5 years. She also served on the benevolent committee for 10 years.
Mrs. Box was a seamstress and worked in the Troup dress factory for 10 years and in Henderson for a year.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Box, in 1968, and by two daughters, Carolynne Brock, in 1996 and Willa Ruth Gibson, in 2005.
She is survived by her loving family, a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Neva Box, Lake Cherokee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Jim Bowden, Electra, and Pam and Tommy Cagle, New London; two sons-in-law, Joe Wayne Brock, Wichita Falls and Lavern Gibson, Henderson; two sisters, Margie Robin, Scott, Louisiana and Wilma Stenhouse, Arp; 13 grandchildren, Jo Lynne Marlin, Kathy Brock, Dewayne Brock, Jimmy Bowden, Debbie Brazeal, Denise White, Allen Gibson, Lynn Box, Randy Box, Troy Cagle, Justin Cagle, Tammy Savell, and Vickie Compton; and 22 great-grandchildren, Mandy Harris, Blaine Page, Dylan Bowden, Chelsea Bowden, Trevor Paradeaux, Miranda Marlin, Victoria Marlin, Chase Brock, Tate Savell, Trent Savell, Brandon Armstrong, Lucy Armstrong, Jasper Box, Jarrett Manns, Jacob Manns, Alecia Kennedy, Austin White, Laura Anne White, Angelina Cagle, Makenzie Cagle, Hayden Cagle, and Rylee Cagle; and a great-great grandson, Korban Kennedy.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Troy Cagle, Allen Gibson, Dewayne Brock, Randy Box and sons-in-law, Tommy Cagle and Lavern Gibson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, June 26.
