Obituary of Cullen Moore

Funeral services for Cullen Dewayne Moore, 69, Arp will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton, with Reverend Leon Batchelor officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Wright City. Mr. Moore died Thursday, May 10, 2007 in a Tyler hospital. He was born January 17, 1938 in Smith County to the late Johnnie E. and Mildred Lee Burnett Moore. He was a life long resident of Arp and attended Arp Schools. He married Carolyn Marie Wade April 20, 2001 in Arp and retired from Arp Independent School District after 15 years. He was Pentecostal and affiliated with the Lakeview Community Church near Arp. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Moore, Arp; five sons and daughters-in-law, Dewayne and Kathy Moore, Neches, Scottie and Brandi Moore, Athens, Adam and Jennifer Moore, Lubbock, Kevin and Wendy Moore, San Diego, California and Daniel Moore, Alaska; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Stacie McGowen, Tyler, Shana and Don Perry, Henderson, Leslie Pitts, Longview, Christie and Kerry Henson, Odessa, Stephanie and Mark Owens, and Dannie and Hayden Gore, Troup; two brothers, James Moore, Arp, and Lewis Moore, Henderson; two sisters, Inez Hamilton, Arp, and Regina Owens, Cleveland; twenty four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Donnie Hamilton, Charlie Moore, Ricky Moore, Tony Moore, Danny Moore, and Hayden Gore.
