Obituary of Julia Mildred Barberee
Graveside services for Julia Mildred Barberee, 86, Overton, will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at
Center Ridge Cemetery, Maud under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mrs. Barberee died Saturday, November 7, 2009 in Whitehouse. She was born November 6, 1923 in Corley to the late Ellis and Kate Riley Whitington. She was co-owner and operator of Speedy's Cafe in Williams, Arizona and moved to Overton in 1961. She was a cook for the Arp Independent School District until she retired and she was Church of Christ.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Emmitt W. Barberee February 26, 1995. She was also preceded by four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Linda Barberee of Arp, two granddaughters, Shelly Barberee and Angie and Mike Gault; and a great granddaughter, Kindle Gault.
