Obituary of Archie Watson

Graveside services for Archie Lloyd Watson, 82, Arp are scheduled for 3:00 on, Thursday, April 23, at the Parker Cemetery in Grapeland, with the Reverend Mike Rice officiating, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mr. Watson died Monday, April 20 in a Henderson nursing home. He was born February 5, 1927 in Farrow, to the late Archie Calvin and Ada Cynthia Wall Watson. Mr. Watson was a Baptist. He was retired from Tyler Pipe and had lived in Arp since 1964. He married Mary Jane Craig Dec. 23, 1949. She preceded him in death September 20, 2004.In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother Claude Watson. Survivors include sons, Bill Hunt, Palestine and Patrick Lloyd Watson, Kilgore, brother Hiram Watson, Tyler; four grandchildren Lloyd Hunt, Lance Hunt, Jason Watson and Jamie Watson; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22.
