View Memorial Video Services for Ruby Crossland, 78, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 1:30 pm, Saturday, March 28, at the Hill Creek Baptist Church, Whitehouse with the Reverend Doctor Philip Attebery officiating. Burial will be in the Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mrs. Crossland died Tuesday, March 24, in Tyler. She was born October 17, 1930 in Terrell to the late Charlie Edward and Bertie Woodall Longshore. She was a housewife and had also worked for the Whitehouse High School Cafeteria for 9 years. She had been a member of the Hillcreek Baptist Church, Whitehouse since 2004. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother Charles Longshore and two sisters, Dorothy Wren and Mabel Garner. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley Crossland and Donna Beddingfield, both of Whitehouse and Pam and Glenn Underwood, Jr., Lindale; a brother, Johnny Longshore, Grand Prairie; four grandchildren and a grandson-in-law, Brandon Beddingfield, Jason Beddingfield, Amy and Tim Arndt and Emily Underwood; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Arndt, Stephanie Arndt and Emily Rose Arndt. Pallbearers will be Brandon Beddingfield, Jason Beddingfield, Glenn Underwood, Jr., James Perryman, Daniel Perryman, and Chris Chadwick. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Ashby, Perry Allen, Morris Crymes, Darrell Crymes, Herschell Crymes. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, March 27. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701 or to Hill Creek Baptist Church, 14749 Hwy 110 S, Whitehouse, TX 75791.
