Obituary of Ray Sartors
Graveside services for Ray E. Sartors, 81, Bossier City, Louisiana, formerly of the Troup area, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 15, at the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup with the Revered Sherman Mayfield officiating, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mr. Sartors died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his residence in Bossier City. He was born December 30, 1927, in Chisholm, Oklahoma, to the late Noel Ellis Sartors and Floy T. Hayes Sartors.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a retired supervisor for Sinclair Oil Company.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Thomas and a brother, Noel 'Papa' Sartors. Survivors include, two brothers, Raymond Sartors, Benton, Louisiana and Floyd 'Bugs' Sartors, Longview; a sister, Alta Mae Reynolds, Chicago, Illinois; a special friend, Peggy Ramsey, Shreveport, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
