Obituary of Cecilia Miles

Graveside services for Cecilia Ann Miles, 67, Arp, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Friday, March 3, at the Elkins Cemetery, in the Omen Community, near Arp, with Tommy Corley officiating, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mrs. Miles died Tuesday, February 28, at her residence. She was born August 12, 1938, in Gladewater, to the late Arvin Fields and Ola Mae Fields Walls. She was a graduate of Kilgore High School. She was a longtime resident of Arp. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Killen. Mrs. Miles was a devoted wife and homemaker and was a Baptist. She married Dolphus 'Doc' Miles September 16, 1961, in Kilgore. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Dolphus 'Doc' Miles, Arp; a stepsister, Nell Grizzle, Longview; two aunts, Lima Stanley, and Farine Byrd, both of Winnsboro; nieces, Laura Wilson, Overton and Marian Killen, Monroe, Louisiana; nephews, Micheal Killen, West Monroe, Louisiana, Gregg Killen and Sean Killen, both of New Orleans, and Bobby Killen, Monroe, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 2.
