Obituary of Bobbie Jean Hodges Hooks
Funeral services for Bobbie Jean Hooks, 78, Rockdale, formerly of Henderson, will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 17 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Jones and Reverend Robert Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Overton.
Mrs. Hooks died Friday, February 13, 2009 at her residence in Rockdale. She was born May 11, 1930, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Steve J. And Miriam Alma Taylor Keosoff. She married Bob G. Hooks July 30, 1993, in New London and worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for 42 years for B H Pump Service and Supply Company, Turnertown. She was a 25 year member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson and was a long time Sunday school teacher. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockdale.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Keosoff and a sister, Merry Lee Keosoff.
Survivors include her husband, Bob G. Hooks of Rockdale; a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Leesa Hodges of Bryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Frankie Stone of Rockdale; her husband's children, Keith and Paula Hooks of Kilgore, Chris Hooks of Austin, and Karen Chustz of Overton; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Juanita Keosoff of DeSoto; grandchildren, Amie and Matthew King, Ashley and Kyle Sparkman, Kendall and Andrew Hay, Catlin Hodges, Brandon and Jessica Hooks, Ryan and Brittany Hooks, Tiara and Chris Calcote, and Heather Honzell; great grandchildren, Marillah King, John Kyle Sparkman, Reagan Sparkman, Blythe Sparkman, Kellierae Calcote; three nieces, Debbie Farrell, Kara Butler, Jaylee Klempa; and two nephews, Charles Lee Keosoff and Kevin Keosoff and father of her children James U. Hodges.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Hooks, Ryan Hooks, Kevin Keosoff, Matthew King, Steve Hodges and Craig Fenter.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of Dept. 7 Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Henderson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, February 16, at the funeral home.
