Obituary of Jerry Owen

Graveside services for Jerry Owen, 53, Henderson, are scheduled for 3:00Êpm, Thursday, January 12, at the Neeley Cemetery, near Henderson, with Pastor Jason Wood officiating, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mr. Owen died Monday, January 9, at his residence. He was born August 22, 1952, in Slayton to George Lee and Katie Moores Owen. He had been a lifetime resident of Henderson. Mr. Owen attended Henderson Schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Melissa Bundrick December 2, 2003 in Rus County and he owned and operated JerryÕs Lawnmower Parts and Repair in Henderson. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Bundrick Owen, Henderson; two sons, Jody Owen, California and Cody Owen, Houston; a daughter, Brandi Owen, California; a stepdaughter, Falen Ray, Henderson; his mother, Katie Addington, Henderson; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Morgan Addington and Kevin and April Owen, all of Henderson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicky and Tim Hewitt, Jacksonville and Belinda and Alan Roberts, Long Branch; five grandchildren including Alexis Bundrick and Austin Bundrick; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
