Obituary of Vida Cope

Funeral services for Vida Princess Cope, 87, Littleton, Colorado, formerly of Whitehouse are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 in the Cottle Funeral Home Chapel in Troup, with the Reverend Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Meador Cemetery near Whitehouse. Mrs. Cope died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in Englewood, Colorado. She was born July 12, 1918 in Winnsboro to the late Forney C. and Willie Mae Wilcox. She married the late Audrey Gerald Cope April 12, 1941 and they owned and operated CopeÕs Country Store on the Troup Highway for thirty five years. She retired in 1976 and moved from Whitehouse to Littleton, Colorado in October, 2005. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitehouse. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Joe Collins of Littleton, Colorado; two brothers, Royce Wilcox of Irving, and Glenn Wilcox of Winnsboro; four sisters, Allene Davis of Mt. Vernon, Jean Carder of Rockwall, Maydell DÕLizarraga of Sulphur Springs, and Glennis Kaczor of Rockwall; three grandchildren, Amy Williams, Angela Morrow, and Andrew Morrow; five great-grandchildren, Dustin Gaschler, Nathan Williams, Lucas Williams, Haley Bruce, and Joshua Bruce; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lorrell Lemons, Ronnie Waller, Danny Chrisenberry, John Poskey, Andrew Morrow, Gary Wilcox, and Danny Carter.
