Obituary of Charles Mosley

Services for Charles A. Mosley, 63, Concord Community near Troup, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 25, at the Martin's Chapel Church of The Nazarene, Concord, with the Reverends, M.H. Klink, Andy Cox, and John Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. Mr. Mosley died Thursday, January 22, 2009 in a Tyler hospital. He was born May 18, 1945 in McCaskill, Arkansas to the late Linnie Cantrell Mosley. He married Marsha Hamilton on January 16, 1970 in Concord and had been a resident of the Concord area for over 40 years. Mr. Mosley had served as a police officer with the Jacksonville Police Department and had been a sales representative for the Cox Plant Farm. He had been a member of the Hilltop Country Club, Troup. He attended the Martin's Chapel Church of The Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Mosley, Troup; a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Sarah Mosley, Yukon, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Keith Hill, Hideaway Lake; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Sharon and Kenneth McDaniel, Troup, Barbara and Bill Owens, Ft. Worth, Robin and Alfredo Lopez and Pam Gentry, all of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, Luke Mosley, Samuel Mosley, Jared Hill, Colton Hill, Adam Hill, Ashlynn Hill, and Reese Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pall bearers will be his many friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 24, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
