Obituary of Joseph Pucheu
Services for Joseph C. Pucheu, Jr., 62, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 4, at the First Assembly of God Church, Troup, with the Reverends Tracy Wright, Joe Ballard and Ray Rector officiating. Burial will be in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mr. Pucheu died Friday, January 2, 2009 in a Tyler hospital. He was born September 18, 1946 to Frances Dobyns Pucheu and the late Joseph C. Pucheu, Sr.
Mr. Pucheu was a graduate of Bay St. Louis High School. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam war. He married Brenda Holdway September 28, 1968 in Dallas. He moved to Tyler in 1969 and received his Bachelor of Business degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in 1984. He celebrated 40 years of employment with the Trane Company. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He had taught Sunday school at Tyler Metro Church and was assistant youth director at First Assembly of God, Troup. He was a volunteer with Habitat of Humanity and United Way of Tyler.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Brenda Pucheu,Whitehouse; five children, Joseph Christopher Pucheu and his wife, Rhonda, Dickinson, Stacey Henson and her husband, Kevin, Troup, Heather Freeney and her husband, Quindell, Whitehouse, Colin Pucheu and Katelynn Pucheu, both of Whitehouse; his mother, Frances Pucheu, Troup; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Glain and Deborah Pucheu and Frances 'Toni' and Glen Dowdy, both of Troup, Mozelle and Wiley Wayne Massey, Jacksonville, and Joel Pierre and Heidi Pucheu, Clear Lake; two grandchildren, Madilyne Henson and Lavery Henson, Troup; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Carmichael, Delton Starling, Charlie Pardon, Brooks Kerr, and Will Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Mitchell and Quindell Freeney.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Saturday, January 3.
