Obituary of Sue Stoker Choate
A Memorial Celebration for Sue Stoker Choate, 67, Troup, is scheduled for 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 10, in the Activity Building of the Southpoint Church of God. Family and friends are invited to join in to share memories, stories, and a pot luck luncheon.
Mrs. Choate died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at her residence in Troup. She was born November 2, 1941, in Tyler to the late Lewis Alonzo Stoker and Geneva Sales Stoker. She was a lifetime resident of East Texas and had lived in Troup for the past year.
Mrs. Choate had worked as a waitress, as a shoe salesperson and was an accomplished musician and singer. She attended the Azalea Gardens Church of God, Tyler.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Stoker and two sisters, Hazel Deville and Marjie Stoker.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Trina Liles and Gaylon Liles all of Marshall, David and Laurie Liles, Arlington, Jeffrey Liles and Dee Lower, Troup; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Elsie Stoker, New Chapel Hill, Billy and Claudine Stoker, Whitehouse, and Jerry Stoker, Troup; a nephew, Ron Stoker; a sister-in-law, Wanda Stoker, Forth Worth; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
