Obituary of Cindy Cobbs

Graveside services for Cindy Cobbs, 40, Henderson, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, November 17, at the Mason Cemetery, Arp, with the Reverend Cody Bishop officiating, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mrs. Cobbs died Saturday, November 15, in a Tyler hospice facility. She was born September 4, 1968, in Marshall to George Simmons and Patricia Ann Sorrells Simmons. A lifetime resident of East Texas, she was a 1987 graduate of West Rusk High School and had an Associates Degree in Accounting from Kilgore Junior College. Mrs. Cobbs was a Teacher's Aide for Overton High School for five years. She was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, George Simmons. She married Dale Cobbs, November 3, 1990, in Henderson. Survivors include her husband, Dale Cobbs, Henderson; a son Zachary Allan Cobbs, Henderson; a daughter, Julie Ann Cobbs, Henderson; her mother, Patricia Ann Simmons, Henderson; grandmother, Mable Badgley, Marshall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Rene Young, Caldwell, George and Toi Simmons, Kilgore, David Simmons and Jody and Karen Simmons, all of Henderson; a sister and brother-in-law, Carren and David Hopkins, Caldwell and Cristie Read, Henderson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gay Nell and Cody Bishop, Flint; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joel and Jenna Cobbs, Botswania, Africa; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Memorials, if desire, may be made to the Cindy Cobbs Benefit Fund at the First State Bank, Overton.
