Obituary of Carolyn Louise Still Johnson
Graveside services for Carolyn Louise Still Johnson, 64, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, October 3, at the Overton City Cemetery with Pastor Edwin Finley of the Laird Hill Baptist Church officiating, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mrs. Johnson lost her courageous battle with cancer September 29, 2008. She was born January 16, 1944, in Henderson, to the late William R. 'Dick' Still and Fannie Louise Reeves Still. She was a graduate of Overton High School and Central Texas College. She recently retired from the Texas Department of Insurance, Austin, where she was a computer analyst. In retirement, she loved music, cooking, tending her plants, and researching her family history.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death her beloved sister, Linda Kay Still Cochran.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey Johnson and Heather Johnson, Corpus Christi; two daughters and a son-in-law, Shelley Johnson Wolfenberger and Steve Wolfenberger, Carrollton and Kelley Coates, Henderson; beloved grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Austin Wolfenberger and Jeremy Coates; a great-granddaughter, Kaydence Coates; a brother and sister-in-law, Dickie and Jean Still, Arp; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and David Files, Burkburnett; she also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
