Obituary of Wanda English

Funeral services for Wanda Janette English, 46, Overton, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Seale officiating. Private burial will be in the Salem Cemetery near Turnertown. Mrs. English died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at her residence. She was born May 28, 1962 in Fairfield, Illinois to John M. Keen and the late Carol J. Sinnett Keen and moved to the Overton area when she was 12. She was a graduate of West Rusk High School and worked for the Wright City Water Department as a bookkeeper for 10 years. She was secretary of the Salem Cemetery Association and a member of the Romance Writing Association. Survivors include her husband, Thomas L. English of Overton; two sons, Jesse Wayne Ballard of Marshall, and Jeffrey English of Overton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer C. and Mark J. Falkner of Longview, and Jana V. and Scott Beckman of Jacksonville, Arkansas; her father, John M. Keen of Turnertown; a brother, John M. Keen, Jr. of Turnertown; three grandchildren, Lance Scott Beckman, Autumn Brooke Beckman, and Rachel Shea English; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Linda Seale of Troup. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, at the funeral home. If desired memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas at 4111 University Boulevard, Tyler, Texas 75701.
