Obituary of George Fanning
Services for George W. Fanning 72, Troup, will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mr. Fanning died Sunday, November 17, at his residence. He was born September 29, 1941, to the late Claude Fanning and Archie Taylor, in Omen, Texas.
Mr. Fanning was a Machinist, and he married the love of his life Mary Lou Council on July 14, 1979.
Survivors include wife of 45 years, Mary Council Fanning, Troup; brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Sharon Fanning, Jacksonville; sons and daughter-in laws, Tony and Terry Fanning, Hawkins; Michael and Janet Williams, Troup; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Eric Reneau, Troup; and a very special sister-in-christ, Martha Reneau, 8 grandchildren, Sean Reneau, Corey Reneau, Amber Reneau, Zachary Reneau, Jody Anders, Jon Paul Anders, Joni Taylor and Jessica Lee Fanning, 4 great grandchildren, Kaiden Reneau, Jailyn Anders, Karmen Taylor and Alex Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Larry Palmer, Sean Reneau, Corey Reneau, Jon Paul Anders, Zachary Reneau and Denton Campbell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 19.
