Obituary of Darlene Musslewhite
Services for Darlene R. Musslewhite, 67, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Chapel, Overton, with Reverend Tommy Harden officiating. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery, Arp
.
Mrs. Musslewhite died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born September 9, 1946 in Boerne, Texas to the late Oscar S. and Viola Nichols Jones. She married Robert Musslewhite December 21, 1963 in Arp and moved to Fort Gibson from Richardson eighteen years ago. She was a homemaker, a great artist and she loved crafts. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandkids and her puppy were the love of her life.
Darlene had a very free sprit and loved to get out and do things and she loved to travel.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert Musslewhite, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Musslewhite, Jr. and Cindi, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christina Musslewhite, New Diana, Texas, and Michelle and Kenneth Ballew, Muskogee, Oklahoma; three sisters, Shirley Montgomery, Flower Mound, Texas, Patricia Brewster, Ben Wheeler, Texas, and Brenda Lester, Jacksonville, Texas, five grandchildren, Christopher Dickson, Brittany Dickson, Aliscia Lane, Nichole Musslewhite, and Bradley Musslewhite; four great grandchildren, Cameron Dickson, Brianna Dickson, Connor Dickson and Garrett Allen; numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Dickson, Matthew Pepper, Bradley Musslewhite, Shayne Dickson, Brad Brittian and Dustin Hammock.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, November 15, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.
