Obituary of Hansel Fuller

Funeral services for Hansel Fuller, 92, of Longview, formerly of Overton, will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton with Reverend Atwell Hankins officiating. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery. Mrs. Fuller died Friday, May 30, 2008 in a Longview nursing home. She was born October 24, 1915 in Corsicana to the late John and Clara Dotson Blackerby. She lived most all her life in Overton and married Norburn "Nubbin" Fuller June 8, 1938 in Overton. She worked for Young's Fashions and the McMillian Public Library. She had also worked for Kelly's Childrens Shop in Kilgore and moved to Longview in 1998. She was a member of the Overton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norburn "Nubbin" Fuller May 7, 1998, two brothers, John Blackerby, Jr. and Leslie Blackerby, and a sister, Reona Evans. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, N. W. "Nubbin" Fuller, Jr, and Mollie-Bates Fuller of Longview; three grandchildren, Leza Harris, Lacy Contreras, and Levin Fuller; two great grandchildren, Drayton Harris and Olivia Contreras; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Levin Fuller, Andy Contreras, Arthur Owens, Roy Hunt, John Evans, and Glenn D. Honzell, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Drayton Harris. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the funeral home.
