Obituary of David Parker

Graveside services for David Anderson Parker, 70, New London, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10 in the Overton City Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Harden officiating under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mr. Parker died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in a Henderson hospital. He was born December 1, 1937 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Albert Jack and Clara Lee Bearden Parker. He is a veteran of the US Army and worked as a chef in New Orleans restaurants. He has been a resident of New London for 22 years and he was a baptist. Survivors include, a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Terry Golden, Troup; four nephews, Gary Hammett, El Dorado, Arkansas, Randy Hammett, Rogers, Arkansas, Joe Hammett, Junction, Arkansas, and Eric Golden, Overton; and his beloved dog, Buttons. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the funeral home.
