Obituary of James Monroe Noble

Graveside services for James Monroe Noble, 73, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 7, at the Whitehouse Cemetery, with Reverend Doctor Ray Davis and Tony Hays officiating, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mr. Noble died Sunday, May 4, in a Tyler hospice facility. He was born October 18, 1934, in Troup, to the late Albert M. and Mable Z. Pilgrim Noble. Mr. Noble was a lifetime resident of the Whitehouse area. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church, Whitehouse since the age of 14. Mr. Noble retired from the Whitehouse Independent School District where he was employed for 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Clayton Noble, Glendon Noble, Clyde Noble, and Royce Noble; and a sister, Rachel Wright. Survivors include, his wife of 43 years, Janell Bone Noble, Whitehouse; two daughters, Jennifer Gail Brookshire, McKinney and Julie Lynn Yarbrough, Lindale; a sister, Joy Fielding, Whitehouse; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Rita Noble, Tyler; Grandsons, Todd Brookshire and Hayden Brookshire both of McKinney, and Jakeb Burroughs, Lindale; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials, if desired, made be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701 or to the First Baptist Church, Whitehouse, Building Fund, 801 East Main, Whitehouse, Tx 75791. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Gandy, Larry Gandy, Roger Clay, Todd Brookshire, Alan Fielding, and J.L. Hays. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm, Tuesday, May 6.
