Obituary of Jack Price

Military graveside services for Jack Alan Price, 61, Arp, are scheduled for 11:00 am, Friday, June 28, at the Whitehouse Cemetery under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.  Mr. Price died Tuesday, June 25, in Fairfield. He was born November 20, 1951 in Garden City, missouri to the late Julian Austin and Ethel Mae Webb Price. He is a US Army Veteran and moved to Arp thirteen years ago from Kilgore. He married Linda Goolsby December 15, 2000 in Troup. He was employed by Exxon / XTO as an oilfield consultant and had previously worked 27 years for Key. He had also worked for Getty.  Jack was a hard working man and was dedicated to his job. He had a soft place in his heart for his mother and was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed old western movies, especially the ones with John Wayne in them.  Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jay Price and Jerry Price.   Survivors include, his wife of 12 years, Linda Price, Arp; a son, Jason Price, Deberry; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lacy and Steven Sadler, Carthage, and Andrea Price, Longview; a step-daughter, Robin Bailey, Arp; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Nancy Price, Conroe; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and David Allen, Conroe; four grandchildren, Kendall Sadler, Carleigh, Lexie Price and Autumn Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm,  Thursday, June 27.
