Obituary of Evelyn Royce

Graveside services for Evelyn Royce, 88, Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Overton, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Overton with Reverend David E. Stine officiation under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mrs. Royce died Monday, March 31, 2008 in Columbia, Missouri. She was born March 20, 1920 in Drumwright, Oklahoma to the late Floyd H. and Willie Castile Ellenor Hancock. She was a retired nurse and pastors wife. Mrs. Royce lived a life of service and ministry. She and her husband served as co-pastors of several Assembly of God churches in Arkansas and West Texas over their many years of service. Mrs. Royce was a graduate of the Assembly of God Bible School in Enid, Oklahoma and was a licensed and ordained minister. She also was a graduate of the Licensed Vocational Nursing program at Henderson Memorial Hospital, Henderson. Besides her parents, Mrs. Royce was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Reverend George C. Royce on October 23, 2000 and by a granddaughter, Kimberly Amber Stine. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Chaplain David Stine of Columbia, Missouri; two granddaughters, Kristin Stine and Kendra Stine, also of Columbia, Missouri; two brothers, Dcan Hancock of Fort Worth, and Floyd Hancock, Jr. of Ruidosa, New Mexico; two sisters, Betty Hawkins of Fort Worth, and Jean Parnnell of Longview.
